Go for the Solar CH08 alot better then the undercover serie.

Thanks, but currently at double the price though. Willing to spend a few quid extra, but have found out the hard way that paying more for a bedchair doesn't necessarily mean you get what you need. Really curious what the difference is between the SP C Tec, CH08, Bankmaster and Undercover. There's small differences in features, but I'm really only interested in (long term) comfort.

Solar CH08 is one of the best beds on the market in the price range up to £300, if you look around you will find them for around £150-160.

-Ch08: 2D matrass (less firm the on the Sp C Tec)
-Sp C Tec: 3D matrass + aluminium hinges (the hinges on the CH08 are more than strong enough)

I've had the Solar Undercover Bedchair for about a year now.
The height difference between lowest and highest is around 10centimetres, so it's pretty easy to get spirit level flat on most banks.
It is comfortable as it stands, but for a slightly tighter mattress, I tie-wrapped the cord ends to the bedchair rather than leave them on the mattress loop.
I do sleep on my side or front, and have the need for a hip replacement so the tighter mattress helps me.
The spring lock legs do lock properly, they don't slide back in, and the Solar'ed mudfeet don't slide around on the groundsheet.
The closure strap will hold the legs shut and bedchair folded, my suggestion, leave your sleeping bag (and cover) on, and tighten the strap as much as you can when it's folded down.
You do have to open the main body legs out with the bedchair on its side, and there is no lock on them, which is my only gripe.
It's probably the most comfortable bedchair I've had.

I've got the CH08 and can confirm it's worth the money, I can't fault it it's well supported and havent found it sag at all, I'm over 20 stone and its solid, the legs are excellent as the extend with then push of a button.

To be perfectly honest, I have had some budget priced bedchairs that are far more comfortable than more expensive brands.
Surprise, surprise, one of the best was a Dragon Carp bedchair that cost £50 back in 2003, around 2009 I got a Bison bedchair for £60, both were better than more expensive tackle brands
However, Solar have come in at all price points and usurped almost every other manufacturer

Beds are quite different things to different people
when I started carping in 1962 I could get a great nice kip on the argos tip you up sun loungers
then as my age progressed my trips turned from 1 week to upto 5 weeks at a time thats when it sorts out the cheap to the expensive beds I went thru all the Nash indulgence range when they came out it was at the time a revelation super comfort and warmth
but THEN getting older my back after 4 or 5 days started to ache ?
the answer turned out to buy a different type of bed a much firmer bed ! tried a few and when the Trakker Levelite ELS Bed at over 300 Quid !!!! came out I thought you simply cant put a price on comfort
well this was put to the test when I went on a 32 night French trip it was heaven every night was perfect got up no aches at all it was hands down the best 320 quid I ever spent
then age progressing my years of fishing in europe that cost thousands most trips I budgeted for £1500-£2000 Thailand was more expensive lol
came to and end weight and size became very important I needed the same hard lumbar support of my beloved ELS tried a few compact beds but one came up trumps
it was the Wychwood Tactical X COMPACT Bedchair
BUT ! it has to be the 2019 version the prev model was different lighter but crap in comparison IMHO
then I started getting really bad back pain trying to get up off the very low compact was hurting me (not knowing a tumour was growing in my spine breaking and slowly pushing vertebra out of place )
thinkin it was all the gym work I had been doing I had torn a muscle this can take ages to fix
I needed the same firm bed but the ability to extend the legs so it was as high as possible but still light as possible and the answer thankfully was after FOR ME the SUPERB SOLAR CH08

Thanks. Hopefully someone can confirm either way. I understand the Fox Flatliner is good for side sleepers but it's lot more expensive.

My ch08 is for sale as I no longer intend to do nights bivvied up , I've only done eight nights on it and I'm a side sleeper .

I wouldn't call it firm particularly but it CV ould be adjusted by the cord s.

Recently upgraded to a CH08 from an RLX 6. It was still useable, but I was finding it too saggy and low,esp in a hurry. Gave myself a twingey back on more than one occasion. The Solar is definitely a firmer sleep compared to the Trakker and being mainly a side sleeper it has taken some getting used to. However a SIM has made a difference and my backs not complaining either. My only gripe is it doesn't fold quite as flat with a winter bag/cover fitted.. so doesn't lie in the boot as nicely.
