Gardner Pro line 15lb 35mm cheap as chips covers most of my fishing these days must admit it wasn't one l was looking at but after been recommended on here to me by a few more experienced anglers that did it for me; that's what's great about the forum

Gardner pro light blend. 15lb on my main rods and 12lb on my ‘smaller' rods. Best line I've ever used and cheap as chips.

All down to personal preference of course, but my vote has to go to Fox Exocet. Absolutely love it, have tried GTHD and ESP Syncro, both OK but I've always gone back to the Exocet

For those who have the gr60 mono, have you tried the Gardner GT-HD? Is there much difference, do you prefer the gr60?

Just this minute spooled up with 12lbs GR60 on my reels. First impressions as I've never used it before. It's very springy, almost Flourocarbon like. I used the bog standard Korda Carp line before and liked that, so I'm hoping the GR60 will be as good in use. Time will tell, or I should say Lockdown will tell, as I can't go anyway.

It's really not springy like flouro at all, and actually very similar to the Korda Carp line which I used to use on my catfish reels until needing something in a far higher breaking strain. I'd guess you've got some twist into it whilst loading it if it's not behaving like it should in the spool

Never understood the draw to gr60, I always found it wiry and not very gd to cast. There are much better lines these days.

I never found a line as good as the old Catana... Unavailable now so that comment is no use to anyone 😝🤦🏻♂️...
Found the ESP synchro quite nice and does what it sais on the tin... I pre soak it in slightly warm water with a drop of washing up liquid before spooling up to help remove the slick coating which makes most lines not sink as well until they have been used a bit...
Good reliable line that behaves itself...
GR 60 is also a great tough line, but one that performs way better when it's proper soaked.. It is wiry when dry.. As most monos are, more noticeable with GR60...

PB products control mono 18lb. Subtle and strong.

Yes but 24lb or 28lb 18 is way too thin for me.. 28lb equivalent of 15lb.. sinks really well, great colour, casts lovely, does hold a little memory so not quite as gd as cm90 but I think with a clear type line you can get way with it more.

What type of waters are you planning on fishing. I base my line choice on the use I intend for it. If I was going to be fishing on snaggy waters where I didn't need to cast very far then GR60 is a great line, but trust me it is no good for casting.
If I was planning on fishing at range I would be looking at a light, soft, limp line such as fox exocet or glt Pro clear, but neither sink very well.
If I was looking at a compromise then synchro xt (not loaded) would be a good option.
In case your wondering I have only mentioned lines I have actually used personally.

i can recommend synchro in 12 and 15lb supple and behaves well.
im looking for a 15lb mono which isnt total tow rope for my lighter gear i fish with now the clubs i fish say that line has to be 15lb.
casting 0.38+ monos on small reels and 2.25lbs isnt going to be that fun lol
