Baitroom released some pots this week, a friend looked at getting some but they were £45 a pot for the Fizz.

As nice as his baits are that's silly money, no one is stupid enough to pay that surely.

Did chuckle to myself when I saw this. Spat his dummy out and “permanently” shut the business (yet kept Facebook and website live) because he wasn't getting the respect he thought he should of got and wanted to make a stand about people lying about fish caught on his baits
Obviously seen the prices his baits are going for on ebay and has decided that actually it's the money he's really interested in and now selling a pot of baits for £40-45 😂😂 and probably don't care about the lying now

I don't know what he's doing. He made some nice bright pop ups, but seems to have pissed of a few people too. Good luck to the fella I say, he made some nice gear and some good money I bet. My winky face was regarding something new I have seen recently that may be of interest to all of us

Does it involve soaking Keeperboy?
There are definitely some shifts happening in the hookbait game, that's for sure.

He can obviously see that his hookbaits are popular and that if he wanted to he could have a thriving business.
It is also a great sham that anyone buying his hookbaits now will, even at £40 a pot probably just stick them straight on E-Bay knowing they will make a quick buck.
If he released 4 or 5 flavours in pop-ups and wafters and just kept it as that he could still command £20 a pot and the E-Bay trolls would soon not be able to sell them on at a huge profit..

I totally get that.....BUT.......if you're paying £40 for 40 baits and this gives you total confidence in your hook bait then £1 per fish isn't much and on par with a super sharpened hook by a fishing celebrity or a 4oz lead ......

To be honest Wayne, if your baits not repellant to carp, it's put in the right place, any hookbait is as good as any other. Sure, glugging your baits or they're high attract can work to your advantage of they've not seen that trick in a while or at all, fish will be drawn to your hookbait, conversely, it can work as a disadvantage if you're fishing for pressured fish which I'm sure you know already.
There are ingredients that are super expensive to make either by your self or bought, if he is using such things, then I could see why the price is so high, I haven't seen any evidence of such things within his blurb of his website. I do take your point 👍
