I have spoken to the development team at Berkley and they are going to look into a clear/tinted version of cm90 with the same characteristics as the amazing cm90 with next to zero twist that sinks like a brick... have to say I am excited 😁
If they get this right, they will dominate the UK mono Market.
Anyone interested in a distance casting neutralbraid, take a look at 35 lb berkley connect, fish it straight through to a leader and I guarantee you will add yards to your cast.

The CM70 has a better breaking capacity for the same diameter line...

Maybe they should look to make a clear CM70 instead and no line has no twist, how you spool up and use the line (bait runners and playing fish on a light drag showboating to peeps) being some of the main reasons for line twist.

I haven't used the cm70 so know very little about it, the cm90 is a lovely user friendly line.
When i look at the tackle box tests i use them as a guide the sample of 15lb cm90 they have is only 0.35mm dia every 15lb spool of cm90 i have had is 0.38mm dia measured on a calibrated micrometer , they dont always use the best knots for the line etc with the cm90 i use a palomar knot which i found stronger

Sorry I disagree. Some lines are worse than others but its not just how you spool it , some are just crap.. cm90 stays limp as a limp noodle in limpington, if you havent tried it then I would.

If they are doing it in a new colour then I will definitely be trying it.Its the best behaved mono I have used and crazily strong.I just could not get on with the colour of the original

I'm no expert on co-polymer extrusion, but if the original is opaque I would be interested to see how they manage to make a clear line with exactly the same properties. I've often found lines that come in different colours but under the same name behave slightly differently. Amnesia and Sensor being an example of this.

CM90 is definitely the limpest thing I've ever seen and I've seen some limp things in my time I can tell ya

Nice to hear. I find it a pleasure to use but the funny green colour isn't ideal.
