The bloke has put a lot of effort into his site, so to just tell him to **** off is bang out of order. Self promotion or not, that response ain't needed.

Thanks for the kind words guys! It's not surprising to get such comments here and there, although I thought this forum was above some of the FB groups' standards...well, you can't please everybody on the internet, that's a fact!
I actually do not check responses all that much (although when I do, 95% of them are highly positive, which is always nice to read), as I get most of my traffic (reads) from Google searches.
And yes, it's a degree of self-promotion in my sharing this article here, but I tend to only post informational content in forums like this one. I write a lot of gear and product-focused articles too, but would never share one of these in here, it's just not called for! I hope these kinds of articles are okay to share!

Okay guys, sorry to have caused such a disturbance...no need for conflict or anger. It's just an article about some carp, nothing more and nothing less than that!
If you liked it, great, if you didn't, that's totally fine as well! The internet is a big place and you can most likely find better sources if you wish to do so!
Just know that I spent 8h writing and researching the piece and that those 3100 words are well-meant informational content about this great hobby of ours. It also has outgoing links to 28 different kinds of sources and references, which does not mean that it is perfect, of course. It just means that there is a lot of effort behind it, and the primary goal of it is to give people a good and helpful read.
Hope you all have a great weekend and as always, I wish you tight lines!
