It has to be a rechargeable one for me, I have the OMERIL one from Amazon (sorry, a link is too clever for me) @ £10.99 each or 2 for £15.99.
Me and my son have one each, they're really good, hold their charge and are very bright.
Had loads of ones that took batteries, and they're all knackered now!!

I see the omeril ones on a deal recently..looked ok.
Not so keen on the built in battery ones personally, don't want to be charging constantly and if I notice mind getting low it's a 1 min swap of batteries (I have rechargeable batteries) rather than 4 hour charge. But each to their own.

Same here, I've got loads of rechargeable aa and aaa anyway.
You also get a bit more notice when the batteries are low, lithium batteries seem to work at full power then die suddenly.
I have a black and red energiser that looks the same as that one, only problem I have with it is that the torch bit seems to come off the strap occasionally when I sleep with it around my wrist

As matter of interest what rechargeable AA and AAA do people use, Eneloop are meant to be the best but they aren't cheap when you can get 4 Uniross for £4 off ebay.
Also what charger do people use I bought one of these LINK and it ran so hot it was a fire hazard.

I always have at least one powepack with me to charge my phone so I just top my headtorch up from time to time. I have a spare battery powered head torch in my spare bag in the car. Each to their own though.

Energiser have always made good head torches without silly prices

Yeah I got a nitecore on oldgeezers recommendation and it's awesome so I regularly forget I'm wearing it! Also charges up very quickly and lasts a good while, very good light

I considered one of them before but didn't need yet another head torch, I have a few energizer from where I've upgraded to a new version, keep the old as spares.
Does this nu25 have angle adjustment or just fixed? Also not very good runtime on bright settings which I know is not used as much when fishing, but I still use mine on high at times. Also love the beam adjust on the energizer, flood to spot

yes it does have very good angle adjustment
and I tend to only do a max of 48 to 72 hours sessions now and never had any problems with the battery life
but as we dont use a head torch in the daytime its a simple case of plugging it in a power pack and recharging it if you were doing a couple of weeks
and agree Energiser head torches are very good I keep one in the car

They are great , used for years. Put new batteries in mine last night and was complaining to myself it was too bright! Not sure why people spend a fortune on heastorches.. no point

Old geezers advice is rarely wrong. I've got 2 energizers and a nu25. I got the nu25 in the hope that the red light was brighter, it is slightly. All good lights. The nu25 is lighter and more comfortable.

Yet to try the nu25 but like the energiser rechargeable had my one on spot for around four hours continuously tonight with no fade.

I always had energiser head torches always found them really good value for the money couple of yrs ago wife bought me the ridgemonkey I really rate it
I wouldnt of bought it myself and if it breaks will go back to energisers

The 50 lumen that I had is bright so that 250 lumen must be something else. Just gotta help yourself sometimes...
