Does this work on braid ,keep getting wraps around top eye when out in boat , so annoying any one with advice.

But think about it would the swivel under tension be able to swivel?
Not to do with a spin doctor but I had a conversation with someone about this and he said it doesn't matter how good a swivel is, it wouldn't do it's job if it's under tension, it would just lock up. The path of least resistance is the line which would twist before the swivel?
Not bothered proving it myself but what do others think?

that depends on how much tension and how much force the spin doctor applies. lures on swivels still spin

Cheers for reply's I know it coming back in with bail arm on , I thought braid would not twist like mono my old spools with same make of braid was not this bad tho , I've started to put. pva foam in top eye now .

The yellow one is the size I use I found the red sunk a bit too quickly and ended up winding in like mad BUT I spray them black to avoid pike attacks as I've had one taken

With the drag on has got to be the problem. You need an open bail arm.
I've not got one but there's a device to stop overspill from the spool. Someone on here will bound to know what its called.

Use the light spin doctor as I found its the only one that works.
Me, I would take everything of the line, tie end to a brick with PVA, row out into lake, with bail arm open, leaving the brick on the bank. Once out a good distance just pull brick into drink and wait for PVA to melt. Wrap cloth on line to get the tension on the spool. Just the bare line in water should help to take twists out.
When your rowing your rods back into bank, leave bail arm open and jam a dishwashing sponge into the first ring.

You can also put a finger on the spool or a piece of a sponge in the butt ring what will induce some tension on the line between butt ring and reel

What he said....worst 12 quid ive ever spent... nice little bag though to keep it in, as it wont be seeing the light of day again.....sponge in butt ring a lot better option
