It looks like a Garmin or a Tag Huer smart watch I did notice it too and thought it looked smart.

If you want a good quality mechanical watch at a reasonable price look out for an older Eterna.
As already said there are several better watch brands than Rolex but an older Eterna will have a quality comparable or better than a Rolex without the high price tag.

Unfortunately the quality of the modern Eterna has gone down hill with new ownership though.

I actually wear a cheap Casio G-shock for fishing. Never dream of wearing either of my Omegas fishing or for that matter, any from my collection of my Tags/Bell & Ross or Oris watches - yet I see Fairbrass doing exactly that. I've seen videos with him wearing a carrera and a seamaster, both of which I also own. These are respectively three and four grand watches. Just seems daft to me, but hey... the Korda lads all seem to be wearing TAG connected watches, the older models... and before anyone starts, there's nothing wrong with collecting nice things if you can afford them. No different from owing nice cars. You're only on this planet once after all

I have some nice watches , would,nt dream of wearing a watch while fishing , seen lots of damage to fish with bellends wearing watches.

What the hell were they doing?? Putting their watch in a sock and smashing the carp with it?

I bought a g shock mud master just for fishing don't use it for anything else, can be put through anything and not worry about it and I'll keep my decent watches for elsewhere

I was just thinking the same. Most tradesmen I know charge more than £200 a day and that's not even a twelve hour shift.

Actually quite a bit on some of the sites I've worked on.

I've been known to have a cheeky snooze in the van between jobs in the summer.

I've got a decent watch, wear it every day of the week, wear it fishing too. Take it off for fish shots.

my iphone keeps better time and doesn't cost as much to service

Now my watch does not seem to be acceptable for carp fishing cool status, before it was just my rods and reels 😳
