Anyone own or have seen these seem like the perfect size for 10/9 ft rods 150m: 0.40. What's the line lay like, and drag?

Got one the other week for my 9ft wychwood. Its fantastic, the drag is a finicky to start with but I think once it's been bedded in it will be better.

They are light and smooth, shame they don't include a spare spool but they are available separately.

It's between Ninja 6000 and the emcast 5000 br lt they will be for a set of 9 ft rods. What to do 🤣😂

The ninja is a lot smaller and lighter. I wouldnt worry about line lay as thats a load of ******** anyway. I wouldnt have another reel with super slow oscillation, its just a gimmick. They dont have a quick drag mind so if your used to a qd drag or baitrunner i would go with the emcast. I have a couple of daiwa ballistic lt reels and they are superb little reels.

Not a fan of qd reels to be honest some seem to quick. The ninja 6000 has a bigger capacity than the emcast granted not a lot bigger.

Have a look at the emcast 25a, I bought some and loved them, then stupidly sold them as I thought my 10ft rods were going to be redundant for next season, but I've got a ticket for a lake where il be using them so need to buy some more reels now 😂 going to get them again or the okuma inception 6000 I think.

Had a look at these reels can anyone tell me what is the difference between all the LT , SS, LTC,BG,4BB after the word ninja and some are 18 and some 19 i am so confused they look the same reel I want to put it on a 6ft soni k

Makes you wonder where daiwa get there prices from. I paid £40 for each spare spool for my ballistics. Made from the exact same material the same red anodising and the same line clip but nearly four times the price!

Ive got a 4000 Ninja LT, and just arrived today a GS3000 that Hull Angling Centre are flogging for £47 on eBay. Both lovely smooth reels, the 6000 size Ninja would be spot on.

The cheaper spools are cast whereas the dearer are machined aluminium - the same with the main gear material

Spool prices will vary and I imagine the actual cost to make any spool is low. Pricing will be based on the price of the reel its for.

For example a 500 quid basia would look like a rip of if the spool cost just 15 quid.

There maybe differences in the material costs but generally I think they are all machined from solid stock. Casting could be too brittle and has the potential for porosity etc.

Just had a look at mine I think you can use the same conversion as they use on the emblems/ gs 3000 and 4000s - south coast reel conversions do a self fit ones there's a vid on there website?? Anyone else converted there ninja line clip, such a lovely reel with a crap clip😤

Just in case anyone else is looking to improve the line clip on the ninja.

A gs3000/4000 clip from South Coast custom reels will fit with some light filing.

I have a Legalis LT 4000 which is the same size as the Ninja LT 4000 and the spool is 51mm wide and 19mm high.
My SS2600 are 53mm wide and 25mm high.

Absolutely love my ninja 6000 converted the line clips just got to upgrade the washers - speed the clutch up a little. I have mine on my 9ft Daiwa powermesh rods a joy to use made up with them!!!
