Hi, I'd like peoples views on the most effective product for taking care of a carp's mouth after being hooked. I could see bonjella actually remaining at the site for a little while. The bottle/spray I've been using has nearly run out and the label is mashed so I can't see what brand it was. My reason for asking is that I had a conversation some time ago with a guy who works in a tropical fish shop. He recommended something which I can't remember and didn't think the stuff I'd had from a tackle shop was likely to be doing the job. so, what do you all use? Any suggestions welcomed, and thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah, Klinik is the one I have which I'm running out of. Looked at holland and barrett link. Stupid question...... I guess i'm looking for Comvita Propolis Oral Spray? Or am I putting a lozenge in the carp's mouth?

I have had the H&B stuff which is great but I got fed up with the dropper dispenser so just got a bottle of this LINK which is probably exactly the same stuff, I just find the bottle it comes in far more user friendly

Not used this myself but rather than leave the house I wouldn't mind betting this will do the job

On a syndi I was on we had to use that brands Ulcer swab to clean the wound and Propolis to seal it.

The Propolis content is 25% weight in volume but the H&B is 50%, I wonder if this is for a particular reason?

I use the H&B stuff too, like you the original bottle was useless, so I bought some plastic dropper bottles of Ebay for it, the sort that Klinik used to come in, behaved perfectly well for a fair few years, went out the other day after not being out for a year...you guessed it...leaked all over the landing mat pocket. The father in law used the original bottle from H&B but put it in a tupperware box with some cotton wool buds, it leaked shortly afterwards.

Moral of story, unless you want brown dye everywhere bag it...cheap camo effect though I suppose if not
