I'm thinking of getting a citroën berlingo and wondered if anyone on here has one and has any good or bad points on them. Im looking at a 2017 1.6 enterprise model.

I use to use a 2013 reg for work. Found it very cramped for driving. No leg/feet room when driving. Very uncomfortable on long trips. And I'm short person. Also found it very under powered on the moterway even when empty. I was thinking of getting one at one time. I'm glad I got the chance to drive one a fair bit at work. I'd not buy one for myself to be honest. To be honest I hated driving it. I now use a v.w caddy long wheel base on a 61 reg. Only a basic model. But what a difference to drive. Miles better. More comfortable. More power. It's a high millage and still drives very well.

I had a Peugeot Partner which is exactly the same van, made a great fishing wagon, never broke down on me and was economical as well. I had the one with the split front seats so the passenger one folds down into the floor which can be handy for getting the rods in. I found the rods would go in diagonally though and that was with a bulkhead, only folded the seat if I had wheeled the barrow in the back so the rods went lengthwise down the side. I wouldn't compare it too much to a VW, I have a T32 now that I much prefer but then that was more than 3 times the price of the Peugeot.

It has been faultless, great van.
Just be aware of regular servicing requirements, as the 1.6 HDi gained a bit of a reputation for turbo issues, but was found to happen if regular scheduled oil changes were not carried out.
Great to drive, just like a car, and pretty economical.

I've had Berlingos for the last 12 years currently have a13 plate I've had for 4 years with not a single problem,drove to the south of France last year in it ( 2500 mile round trip) it went great and I found it surprisingly comfortable for such a long journey I had no back ache at all etc I would have if I hade used my car and I'm over 6ft
80mph on the motorway 45 mpg and it was rammed with some heavy gear which isn't bad for a 5 speed Box

I've got one for fishing 60 plate 130k. Great van, cruises along nicely at 80mph fully loaded, can get all my stuff in the back although rod go in Diagonal last. Had mine and my mates stuff in the back so plenty of room

Had one since new on a 06 plate, 103000 miles on it now. Had very few gremlins over the years, most annoying one a comm 2000 unit went south (controls indicators & lights), also had a new clutch pedal and recently a new accelerator pedal. Clutch pedal has a annoying plastic bush that wears over time (can be replaced for peanuts if your that way inclined) just so happens I press on it with a bias to one side, it wore on that side. Accelerator pedal position sensor went, very annoying, but simple enough to replace.
Another bonus, lots of parts to be had cheaply as a lot are also found on the Partner.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, I wouldn't have said that before owning one given their reputation for electrical issues back then.

The berlingo partner and Vauxhall's combi are all the same van
I had one on a 69 plate and I couldn't drive it any longer than half hour at a time it killed my sciatic nerve
There is a metal bar under the seat that they have no padding on top of and that's what was digging in
In was so bad occupational health got involved and they were supposed to get me a new vehicle but they made me redundant instead lol
It wasn't just the van I had as I went to Vauxhall's just to check on another and it was exactly the same problem.
Im 5 foot 10 and was around 80 kilos at the time so if you are anything like that be careful

I think you're mistaken there. The newer shape Vauxhall Combos are the same as the Fiat Doblo. But not the Berlingo or Partner, they are different vans.
