Picked up one of these from a recommendation off of Gerry.
Paid only £107 delivered which was cheap but took the gamble.

First impressions were very good, extremely light for a bedchair and not too tall, I have a prestige 8 leg which looks alot taller when folded up. So a bit easier in the boot of the car.

Good points.

Price
Lumber support makes it very firm as the mid section is attached to the bed chair frame, you could adjust this underneath to suit.
Nice fleece inner padding and a fairly light DPM padding around the frame.
Adjustable legs are easy to work with the one push button, it's not spring activated but drops out, so you don't have the faffing around getting the far legs level using both hands.
Adjustable Legs won't come out of the frame as there is a lock
Standard size is perfect for me as I'm 5-10 as there's enough room.
Fairly low
Has the underneath adjustable strap to keep it closed during transport.

Negatives

The leg frame doesn't lock to the frame when putting it up, so could collapse if you haven't pushed them out properly
Leg frames aren't stiff so will come back on you, have to push them out again when leveling it (basically why they need leg frame locks)
Mud feet look cheap and plasticy, would hope these would have had an outer rubber wall. (Probably have no problems as I always use a groundsheet)

Apart from the very few minor bits I'm very happy for a bedchair this light and comfy for just over £100

Hi. I'm looking at getting one of these too, as I have heard good things about them. Where did you get such a good price? Cheers

I've been using the standard X on the advice of Old Geezer with added SIM . . .great advice - love it.
Comfort and price beats any bedchair I've had to date . . .good bit of kit. Only mild niggle is footprint size - on 'ye olde' bedchair scale its big (215cms long) for a standard IMO . . .

I too bought the bed on Gerrys recommendation (amongst many other things) and it is by far the best bed I have used. Work close to Poingdestres so popped in and they did the bed for £107 earning a new customer in the process as they were so helpful. I too was surprised by the length of the bed though; longer than expected and only just gets under my brolly. It is very light weight considering its size and would highly recommend 👌

Thanks for the review, it helped me to choose wisely

I have bought a wychwood tactical x compact mostly due to the weight and if anyone else is doing the same here is some info:

Tactical x bedchair (compact) 7.8kg
Thermarest women's trail lite air mattress 0.8kg
Snugpak techlite compact 2.8kg

Total weight about 11.4kg... plus a pillow...

Paid £130 on ebay, cheapest I could find now

It has a better leg mechanism, better mattress and a bit nicer material than the cyprinus version of the old wychwood that came before this one.

Techlite compact is a perfect fit

20200904-203828

The thermarest mentioned above is a nice thickness to flatten out the built in pillow at the top

I find it every bit as good as it's cracked up to be, light, warm and versatile with the removable layer. I do add a trakker cover in the winter though so that does add warmth but I really use it for a waterproof layer for when I'm in and out of the bivvy in the rain.

I guess that's the only downside (except price haha) but it would be less comfortable if it had a waterproof membrane on the bag itself, just like the snugpak clothing

I have the older model of the tactical and love the fact have the thermarest in middle!!

Was thinking change my bed chair as my illness does not help joints etc but this could be a better option for sure !

Where did you get yours from mate??

Many thanks james
