I am considering getting a set of 4 of these indicators as my main go to indicators so, with that in mind, I will be using them from 20 yards to 200 yards.
Which length would be more suitable and why ?
I have no preference with regards to looks, just functionality.
Thoughts please and especially from users.

I went with the long arms. Just couldn't see the short arms giving the same level of flex when using as a quiver and couldn't see any benefit from having shorter arms. I'd assume that of you're fishing 200 yards you'll want to get the most out of the quiver?

You can get more tension with the short, the long arms are much softer.

Really? I'll take your word for it, just kind of assumed the longer arm would have the opposite effect. Thinking about it now you could be right, I suppose the shorter arm may be harder to flex to the maximum point... hmm...

Exactly that mate. Myself and my brother in law fished side by side in France last year, both fishing 160yds range. I had the short arm, him the long. I got far more tension on mine. Being made of exactly the same material, the longer it is, the more flexible it is. The shorter, the stiffer.

Well, you can't beat a side by side comparison - maybe he should have cut his down
Seems fair to say you'd get a greater range of tension with the long arm, but not sure if it would matter greatly as I'd only really use it for long range indication

I am thinking swinger / hanger for short to medium range angling and springer style for the long range fishing with leads of between 6oz to 10oz.

They are a fantastic indicator that really do cover every situation. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have the short arm Titaniums myself, and they get used for long and short range fishing.
You can really rack up the tension on the indicator for long range.
At shorter range, obviously you can have them at maximum drop for slack line and running lead fishing, or as swinger arm indicators.

Thanks Nick, I am struck on them and shall purchase a set of whenever we are able to go out in public again, I.E the Big One when rearranged.

Just resurrecting this. Does anyone know if any indicator heads can be used with this system? I've got loads of Matrix and Neville heads and wondered if the Titanium system is interchangeable with others?

used these for about 3 seasons and i have to say they are the best bobbins i have ever owned. i own the 7 inch ones, most of my fishing is done around 130 yards and the tension you can get from them is spot on. no false bleeps and had confidence in hitting single bleeps at over 130 yards often with a carp attached. i would never go back to a chain type bobbin. i changed my alarms one session and didn't have time to change over my bobbins so i took my old chain ones and it made me appreciate how good the solar ones are. top bit of kit don't think twice before buying

I'm doing short sessions currently, and will be for the forseable (work/child).
I am moving around the lake, and like to pack up quick, set up quick.
Love these solar titanium arms, I've the longer one, three of them.
I have the esp quickdraw rucksack and put the alarms on the sides, and like to have my alarms on single sticks.
Has anyone found a way to keep the solar arms on the bankstick/alarm and protect it?
I know I can screw in/out, but it's a bit of a faff and if its one less thing to do then great, especially when dark.
