Looking for a 50 or 55 inch brolly.
appears the only one current available (new) is the fast and light?
Seems the cyprinus 55 F&L type is not available, nor the Wychwood 50. I would also like a wrap for the winter.
looks like the Cyprinus 55'' wrap and ground sheet are about still which would help.
Am i missing anything out?

Pretty sure there is a chub 55" that has the rear 4 spokes meeting the ground.... not seen or used one, but may be worth a look....

You're absolutely right, there was one - and a decent one too as i used to have one about 9 years ago. Was light and solid when pegged down. good bit of kit actually.
unfortunately these are also showing as out of stock everywhere!
EDIT - does seem to be in stock in a few places so might be a consideration. then dig the bivvy out for socials in the winter.

fox super compact, been using mine all winter without a wrap but them again Im not a souvorn softie

Does seem to be a real drop off in smaller brolly type shelters.
Fox compact not made any more, Cyprinus 55 not available (though poss due to other factors), Wychwood 50 not around.
in terms of ones still available new (and still being made), just the Aqua F&L as far as i can see.
Shame as not everyone wants a Tempest type shelter.

Wish fox would make a 50 ultra.
I do days/ OCC nights under a fox specialist which is 45"

yes, a 50 inch type system with a more modern take would be great.
i went for the Wychwood MHR 50 in the end. spoke to a mate who had one and said he wished he never sold it.
Johnson Ross had a single one they were trying to clear so worth a punt for 93 quid i thought.

That was the only one i could find on the internet new - i didnt check any of the FaceAche selling pages/ebay etc though.
Will give it the once over when i get it- may then consider the overwrap for year round/session use and/or the quarter panels Gerry got made for his.

I've been Looking for a 50 inch brolly since the summer - even 2nd hand they rarely come up.
This weekend I had the pleasure of seeing a fellow carper with the: Wychwood 50 inch compact HD MHR brolly!
All i can say is, well i was amazed!
The brolly is very well made, the material is 10,000mm hydrostatic head with ripstop material that looks like it will last for years!
OK, they are not available/stopped being made, *BUT* i reckon if enough folks email wychwood [info@wychwoodcarp.co.uk] asking for the return of their "50 inch brolly" there is a chance they come back after all aren't wychwoodin biz to make money?
I've just emailed them today, so guys get cracking with the email. cheers!

Wayhayyyy,it's taken me months to find another brand new Mhr 50 brolly,looked all over the place,you name it ,I've looked..
But sometimes you have to look closer to home,lo and behold in the deep dark depths of my only localtackle shop,was,is a compact Mhr....
