I've been having a right nightmare trying to get a good bedchair for a reasonable price but just ended up having a ***** night's sleep. I'd like a wideboy cuz I sleep on my side and my knees are always on the frame. Can anyone give me some good makes that don't cost a fortune but have the comfort.

they are not like the 2019 models at all apart from the colour perhaps ?
I bought the Wychwood Tactical X flatbed Compact as it has now got elasticated Adjustable lumber support
and honestly sitting on it or sleeping on it its the same as my ELS that cost nearly 3 times the price

yea may be like the old one
but of course the NEW 2019 that we are talking about ............is **** all like the old one
is vastly improved with adjustable lumbar support
and the Cyprinus one does not have it

OMG ! yes yes yes!!!
I would have never ever entertained the idea of buying a bed without Lumbar support now
after using my ELS ............. I spent a 23 night session on it with Zero back problems I just could not go back to a normal bed
now and when I saw the 2019 Wychwood had changed the design and it has now got adjustable lumbar support I took a chance and bought one
had a few sessions on it now and its bloody brilliant just like the ELS to sleep on
and if Cyprinus tackle do bring the same bed out cheaper that would be great !!
but sure as **** it wont be half the price

Weight saving about 2 kgs
and now mainly river fish short sessions plus being in my 70s my a Europe fishing is Finnished some pegs I fish involve a walk and lighter the better

150 about 6 inches extension but as the river banks I fish are really sloping I made up 3 blocks to cover all scenarios

Great if one kips on one's back all of the time but not good if one sleep's on one's side (voice of one's experience of an R2).
Seriously though, the R2's setup is flawed. Two areas that are elasticated separately with a gap in between them. What could go wrong? I bought this bedchair second hand and it has taken me yonks to get it comfortable. I sleep on my right side on a bedchair (but rarely in bed - eh?) - and never on my back and was getting quite bad hip pain at first until I started slackening off the elastic webbing underneath. Not a great design imo. Perhaps good if you sleep to attention.
I have no idea how other bedchairs deal with it.

Well I could never ever sleep on my side hence my comment you posted on my back or on my front but if ever you get hospitalised they always make you sleep on your back I believe ?.

My only experience of sleeping in hospital beds is from two knee replacements where you couldn't sleep on your side even if you wanted to. (Owwwww!)
Back to bed chairs.... I have found the self inflating mattress to help at all times though.

Just purchased the tracker oval sleep system..I'm not the smallest bloke in the world and suffer from a bad lower back.... thus system I must say has been the comfiest I've tried... it's way better than my flatliter or the nash I had previous. Not cheap to buy but well worth the cost in my opinion..
