And will you be helping people recoup lost monies through this or will you just be "grave jumping" and asking people to pay again?
Been confirmed on a number of online platforms Westenberg had NO bookings on Sumbar for 2019 or 2020, so what exactly are you up to?

A little pessimistic bud.

Pretty sure they did have bookings, a mate of my pal only opted out of an 8k Sumbar booking at the last second because the bloke added 2k to the invoice

Hi Yonny

No pessimism intended, enough online posts attributed to Sumbar stating carping adventures had NO bookings for 2019 and 2020 to eleviate that. If these guys are taking over bookings for Sumbar why not just state it and be up front and honest about it? No need to mention what's gone on.
They have no intention of repatriating money and shouldn't be inferring it.

Seems like a good business decision on their behalf, but very poorly executed

I guess it's impossible for them to return monies in all fairness.

I'm hearing the blokes family have had nasty visits and all sorts, the bloke has to hand himself in surely.

Seems so, lots of the usual "carp fishing" hard men stating they will go round "tooled up" and sort it out

Then there's the leveller from people that know him and he lives with his parents who are in their late 80's and have had to deal with the visits.......

No one is winning in all of this

It makes for a really sad reading that so many people have been conned!

I am still owed about £800 from that ******* from about 2006!!!! Interest is being added though, to no avail!!

Terrible situation

Hi All

This just keeps going and going, there is a post on the carping adventures victims facebook page that Josh mentoned from a single victim who has been done for €90,000.
Looks like the total will go over €500,000 and still rising, more reports of anglers turning up to lakes and being asked to leave last weekend a presumably the same will occur tomorrow.
Also according to the carping adventures website Marc will be phoning all victims on Monday and Tuesday to explain???????

Hi,
It was us that announced if officially that people's money has not reached Sumbar.
I was approached by Sumbar regarding their bookings. We did not want people to travel all the way to the venue without a booking, causing further stress and loss.

I saw them, they are charging 850/950 with small selection of dates. Seems abit extreme.
