i have the 12ft 3lb and the 12ft 3.5lb
Both do the job and have not had any probs with them.
Not out and out casting machines tho, more all rounders imo

Bought a set of 3.25tc before Christmas. Used them a few times and feel good and nice to cast. Not yet had the pleasure of catching on them yet (questioning my choice of winter lake) but so far would highly recommend but accept early days

Also have them in 3.25tc while as stated not out and out casting rods they more than do the job I'm able to hit the out of bounds bank at 150yds comfortably and quite accurately so very happy with them as I'm no great caster
Whats the best casting weight for the 3.5s ?

I like a 3-3.5oz as gives something to punch against to really get the distance

Brilliant rods, had freespirit hi-s 3.5s before swapping to aircurves, the 3.25 aircurve is a joy to use very responsive and nice to play fish on.

had mine about 5 years now absolutely fantastic rods...I have the 12ft 3 1/2 in the duplon handles they are not broomsticks but very capable long range rods. I would buy another set without a single concern.

Been using the 3 ¼tc for the past year. Having problems with line whipping around first ring, not sure if it's because the first right is slot further forward than other or if it's the reels or even the way I cast.
Their warranty service I have had to use as tip ring was damaged, they could send me the ring to fix myself or pay £30 for a new rod section. I never liked the tip rings so replaced all of them for anti frap type rings and put the old ones to one side just in case.
Other than that, I like um

i'm looking at buying a set of 3 maybe 2nd hand as there is no hurry...
since your post of 2 years still same veiw?
also any guys changed their mind?
reason i ask is cos get talking to anglers at me lake ... a few moan that Greys rods have a tendency to break/snap?

I got the 12ft 3.25 I can't really explain fully but there is something about these rods the only thing I can say is no effort to cast the feel of them is incredible never felt anything like it in other rods as for breaking there probably talking about scopes which are not in the same class as aircuve

3.5oz casting weight seems optimal for the 3.25tc
A well packed solid pva bag should go 80 yards easy

Had mine for a couple of years now and still as happy with them as I was when I posted below, and even had the pleasure of catching a few to high 30s and they have been a dream to play a fish on. Casting wise I rarely fish long distance but with a 3oz lead can hit 100 yards quite comfortably

Bought a set of 12ft 3.25tc myself last year and have caught fish to just under 30lb on them.
Fantastic rods for the price, they can chuck a 4oz lead 120yards+ no problem and have a lovely playing action to them. Highly recommend.

Agreed. Great rods and so easy to use. Casting solid bags has never been so easy but they are also great to play fish on.
I have the 12ft 3.25lb TC and woukd recommend them.

There a top rod plenty of good feedback and happy owners on here these rods are in a different world to others I've had three different sets of greys rods over 20 years never had a problem and never heard of rods breaking mate has 12ft and 10ft loves them there's been much more complaints about other popular rods

Due to the onset of winter and a family feud greys got the bulk of his fury. Which is a shame as Grey's rods are top quality and well worth the price.
His name has been consigned to the dark regions of the carp world legacy, but he was the SON of a mr HARRIS

I had the mk1 greys x flight they had lovely cushioned feel when playing a fish hard to explain they just felt different to other rods wish I had kept them the aircuve is again hard to explain great feel so easy to cast quality build and feel

Don't know what is happening to peoples rods but I have given my aircurves some punishment my casting technique is frankly awful as my upper body is not flexible at all so my 140 yard casts are just giving it a pure thump and had no problems with them
