Hi All,

Any users of this bait firm? I think it's run by Kenny Gates... in Essex

Not a great deal online I can see of them.

Cheers

If you can find which one it might give you a bit more of an insight.

Im sure you can collect only. lots of people using it, some big names as well im told. By what Ive seen of the couple of baits ive seen, there good quality, older types of baits.

A mate has done really well on the red birdfood bait they do, its like a bun spice flavour, caught very well through the winter on it. Whooped me, anyway

No online presence and no delivery but I hear it is available through Essex Angling. Pretty sure it's what Steve Alcott uses which would be enough to give me confidence in it.

You can order on line from county ? angling in hornchurch, collection on Saturday morning only as they are rolling all week unless you make different arrangements.
If you are into bait and want learn about what you are using go down on a Saturday morning and have a chat and a cup of tea with kenny top bloke who really knows what hes on about, you also might be surprised who you bump into down there.

I have heard nothing but good things about the bait and the bait maker. I shall be buying Asylum myself once freezer space allows.

What no Nutrabaits or Haiths Ken
The Ravens have left the tower

Kenny's Receptor Marine (Fish Meal) bait was really rated by my close friend, who hasn't used mainline or ABS since.

The bait I fancy has Robin Red in it so I am still using Haith's up to a point...as for Nutrabaits, well, my mate is no longer associated so the one of the best bait buffs of his or any others' generation is no longer there to make the great baits I used to use. So yes, the Raven (Bill) has left the Tower (Nutrabaits).

It is funny how in last few years we questioned quality few times and got answers like (to quote): "Can you prove this? If not I suggest you put up or shut up." .... it is funny how thing turn around sometimes

Bait Asylum's Receptor red, is the go too Winter seed bait. Incredible track record and a few big names now using it successfully.

I saw a yellow/red seed bait there which smelled very carpy and his receptor Marine, stinks of some sort of Salmon. big summer bait.

pop in on a Saturday, always a few friendly faces in there.

Check out Kevin Ellis's videos on YouTube. He has done several videos where he visits their unit.
Have no doubt it's a well put together bait by just listening to they guy talk. Comes across very passionate about making bait. Very honest on where he buys some of his ingredients. I know he exports some ingredients himself as well as buying some ingredients from Mr Bowers.

£8 a kilo for the fishmeal / RRS and I think the nut was slightly cheaper @ £7.50 a kilo

Best bet is to contact the tackle shop to buy the bait, he only sells bait on a Saturday morning and if you haven't ordered any he keeps very little if any in stock.

theres always freezer stock for walk in customers. Yes, it is easier to pre-order, but generally, if you visited and wanted 10-20kg, or groundbait, or pop ups or just a cup of tea and bait chat.

Pop in and say hi. theres usually a few anglers in there. It was a very pleasant morning when I went there the first time. very welcoming.

I've used the spice for awhile and I'd say very similar to the old enervite in terms of looks and smell.. Very good all year round bait imho
