In reply to Post #14 I normally pull it straight and rub my fingers along it until it heats from friction, it straightens easily like that.

In reply to Post #13 is it a low memory material? i.e does it pull and stay straight

Been using the xt snag leader for a while now can’t recommend it enough it’s more supple than Korda boom but stiffer than a semi stiff coated braid, for me i think it’s perfect. I have straighten a size 4 hook pulling for a break from an underwater snag. I have also used it as a leader when using braided mainline to protect the fish it’s great for that too. I tried trick link I hated that stuff it knotted terrible. I was skeptical about crimping it after I got told you could also crimp trick link and it was far weaker than a figure of 8 knot but with the Korda .6 crimps I cannot break the xt snag leader pulling with 2 pulla tools.

I have used korda 50lb xt snag leader for my booms on Ronnie's, hinges and combi multi rigs, a reel lasts for ages and its really good stuff. You can crimp it if you want to and never had any issues.
I saw Tom stokes use it and never looked back.

In reply to Post #5 £8.50 on eBay at the moment, not many hooklinks that cheap?

In reply to Post #4 That's a fair point, just seems very expensive now

In reply to Post #1 It's a good product. And youre familiar with it. Do you really want to risk paying out for a spool of something, that you might not like and not use. 15 meters of it should last you at least a year or more.

In reply to Post #1 If you are after a like for like product there is OMC Kickback but that is only £1 cheaper or there is Terminal Tackle UK Reset which is £5 for 10m.

Being a tight git I'm wanting to find a replacement for Korda Boom.
It just seems so expensive for 15m to me.
Any suggestions please for a similar replacement?
