Joss the Mod and his better looking brother at Labyrinth. GPB2 over Poacher TigerNut & Maple. Joss fished properly, using a boat, finding spots, used loads & loads of bait.
On the other hand, his brother had a party, pub chucked from the bank, used 5kg of T&M & a tub of GPB2 all week and smashed them. Caught the most, caught the biggest. 😂

I bought a spool of nash lead wire, works great...small.drill,push a bit of wire it and cut it off.

anyone find that the balanced baits/wafters are more like pop ups my 2 tubs pop up size 4 hooks had to use shots below the bait

Here’s a funny little story I realised recently whilst I was on my death bed. At the beginning of the summer, I wrote something on my personal Faceache mentioning stuff that was happening with work. I made an anecdotal joke, referring to our hook baits as ‘magic beans’ and the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
I also referred to the hook baits as ‘magic beans’ on here quite a few times at the same time, I’m sure many of you remember.
I had repeated deadly serious messages straight away from a European customer, asking how to make the ‘magic beans’. I had to explain it was a joke, referring to our hook baits.
Fast forwards to two weeks ago, I was so sick, whilst scrolling social media an advert pops up from a newish bait company…. MAGIC BEAN hook baits. Hahahahahaha it made me laugh so much. That’s so incredibly funny. Never had any intention of using that name whatsoever. It was a joke.
I’m glad to be of service, I’m also very glad that you are all looking in on here so regular party people. You certainly never saw that on my Faceache.

These ones are also from a forum member Sam. He used to work for Poacher Baits 20 years ago with my friend Gary Bainbridge, who sadly passed away a few years back. Sam used to roll my TigerNut & Maple back in day. Last time I had spoke to Sam before recently, he was just a teenager. Now he has a family of his own. He never shows his photos normally.
He recently started using our hook baits for the first time on Sutton 2, which he has fished for twenty years now. First three mornings, three big carp, one everyday on days only. He’s never done that before. Never three in three.
GPB1 over Poacher Baits T&M.
Gavin Bainbridge, Gary’s son runs Poacher Baits now. The T&M is still as good as it ever was. To me, the original nut mix designed by Gary & Steve Ludlow.
Our S2 was designed while I was using this bait. I once wrote a thread on the old Cemex forum extolling the virtues of the T&M, and nut mixes in general. At a time when NOBODY in reality used them. Fishmeal dominated absolutely everything. I was laughed at a bit by the bait buffs of the day (including PeteB). “Cheap, rubbish nut mixes”. This was nearly 20 years ago now. Oh how times have changed.
