Had trouble with the cc moore maker and wanted some advice. Im using 12mm corkballs for 15mm popups. I fill both cups level and then place the corkball in centrally. Then when i take it out the press after rolling the paste is not even around the corkball. Am i doing something wrong?

Any idea how to preserve them? Was thinking of just air drying untill rock solid then re hydrating in hydro and once the hydro is nearly all the way soaked in to coat the baits with various powders. Or would i be better off leaving them in a pot of salt/rice?

Had another go today with baf mix and got it spot on. what i did was mix it up and leave in the fridge for an hour. i then rolled it out and got the water to a boil. i then turned it down so there were just one or two bubbles coming to the surface. after that added 20 baits instead of the whole lot. left in for 1 minute or untill they started to misshape a bit. Was around the one minute mark when they were just starting to mis shape. took them out and now air drying and they are exactly spot on just how they came off the rolling table. hope that helps some of you who may also be having problems

Lads, any idea how i can get my pop ups a bit rounder. they come out perfectly off the rolling table and then i stop the water boiling and put them in straight afterwards for 1 minute. they tend to come out looking a bit like the moon with small craters in them. am i doing anything wrong. im using baf mix and making the mix as stiff as possible to the point i can hardly squash it. they roll fine its just the boiling stage it tends to go wrong or something.

Hi everyone,
cheers for the advice it is much appreciated
can anyone give me a rough way to work out how many cork balls I will need for a certain amount of base mix?
for example if i had 500g base mix how many cork balls would I roughly need?
cheers in advance

HI everyone,
I have been rolling my own bait for a while now and I have started using hinge stiff/chod rigs in my fishing a lot more and feel the need to make a change to cork dust/corkball pop ups. Can anyone get me thinking along the right lines of what I need in the mix? I am unsure on whether a 50/50 mix will be alright since its only a hook bait and not going to be digested by the fish and then the attractors would be just in the liquids and attractor powders.
