In reply to Post #1071 The hirisi beaked points are decent for the river, I use them in a 6 and 8 for barbel and don't need any extra sharpening. The curves are also good in 6 and 8.

In reply to Post #1070 Yeah, I bought a pack of each, all good.
At the time, I bought more of the Krank copies too. They are NOT as good as Korda Kranks, the wire is thicker and they are not as sharp. They are fine for single use on the river though, but I don't use them on syndicate waters etc, preferring the better quality Korda real McCoy

In reply to Post #1069 So did the temu ones seem solid, no crimp slippage.
Please say they are solid, I've already ordered a couple of packets of each type

In reply to Post #1066 Yeah, standard practice for me after I made my first crimped boom back in 2012'ish and it failed (I never tested it)

In reply to Post #1067 Interested if anyone has a comparison to the RM/Advanta booms..I'm sure one of these unscrupulous companies (not specifically either of the ones mentioned) will be flipping the cheap Chinese booms.

In reply to Post #1066 I just got some today. I had some Gemini to compare to, the fluorocarbon is definitely thinner, and less rigid and as a result the fuzed section is much smaller. I'll give them a try in a fishing situation they'll probably be fine but for me and a couple of quid on 3 rigs the Gemini is a superior product.
