Oh ok don't know what changed then, I just couldn't get it to go gloopy like it did, I just ended up with tigers in what appeared flat cola , where as before I had a thick brown syrup all over the tigers.

I believe Coke made over here never contained Corn syrup. But in the states I believe it's used widely in the drinks industry.

I used to swear by tigers prepared in full fat coke, however around 18 months to maybe two years ago they didn't seem to be the same, they just didn't go as gloopy as they had in the past.

I asked the question on here, and someone suggested that due to pressure over health issues, that the recipe had changed slightly and that high fructose corn syrup had been replaced with another sweetener.

After reading Marks advice in relation to high fructose corn syrup, and how much the carp love it, I tried to source some and found it nigh on impossible in the UK and several posts from the US with health concerns, adding some weight to the theory that it may have been removed from coke cola.

Anyone else found the same ?

Yeah and I’ve finally tracked him down after all these years on the missing list. Wish I could track down his Thames spots

I honestly can’t get my head around how people have the front to earn a living from ripping off peoples ideas in an industry as niche as carp fishing (was).

I’m back in England next weekend. Keep getting messages asking how long waiting times are. We are completely up to date with all orders up until Weds just gone, and all orders are going out within a week.

You have a good memory. This one for cokey tigers, the salt cured boilie thread, and the rotting garlic in hemp threads were all Christmas giveaways. At the time I was recovering from cancer (pheyocromocytoma) and stuck at home for 18 months when I joined that forum. I’d always been a successful plasterer who carp fished before that.

Unfortunately all three Christmas giveaways were ‘robbed’… The salt cured boilies and the fermented hemp both ended up in Carpworld articles written by an absolute northern noddy. Both taken from those threads I wrote… He made himself a nice little niche for a while at shows etc and in mags. The bloke is a total fraud.

The cokey tigers I’ve seen claimed as others idea many times over.

Luckily I kept my mouth shut about those CW articles, started SHB whilst absolutely on my arse… And let our S2 do the talking.

I’ve been in paradise with an absolute sort for the past five weeks… While the northern noddy sells his bum for some free boilie stops and bait at any and every opportunity.

I’d say history proved ‘what was what’ in that little situation many times over. Talk is cheap… Facts are facts and they don’t lie.

Ever since, I have been far far more guarded about what I write or say in public… That is a great shame too because I actually have a lot to say, I also know soooo much more now…. But I cannot speak about most of it.

It was quite strange that I remember years ago deciding to give it a go and being disappointed the thread had disappeared from Cemex. Then forgetting all about it for a good 10-15 years, joining this forum, seeing your name and suddenly remembering that post from all those years ago

Wow, it’s quite mad reading something that you wrote nearly twenty years ago, that you have not seen since.

Thanks for posting it for him.
