Thank a lot that all worked like a charm, the low light mode is significantly better.

I know its a long shot but does anyone have the firmware update for the original Fishspy, i believe its only a .cfm file. I would like to try the black and white low light option. Thanks..

I personally only fish for a max of 3-4 hours at a time, so understandably don't want to lose too much time travelling. This leaves me a fairly limited number of lakes to fish. Ive fished these lakes on and off for 25 years, have i caught all the fish, its possible, do i still enjoy fishing them? Very much so. Am i likely to move off of them any time soon? Its unlikely. I still get the excitement when i find feeding fish so im happy.
On the other side of the coin i joined a syndicate after a very long wait and only fished it the one season, i caught 68 of the approx 120 fish, on top of that i had recaptures on some of the 30s up to 7 times, despite not having all the gooduns i left as the place was to predictable and easy and i never felt any sense of achievement.

It can only be for the individual to decide what they enjoy about fishing a particular lake and if and when it is time to move on. Fishing isnt and shouldnt in my eyes be results driven.

If you prebait a few spots regularly and consistently you will catch.

99% of the time i use a korda wide gape size 8, with two presoaked mixers hooked on.

I only do short sessions and mainly use particles. I pretty much exclusively fish the margins, the key for me is to bait as many likely looking spots as possible, i would usually use a palm full of bait in each with a couple of visible baits over the top. Im not trying to hold feeding fish in one spot as a lot of bait isnt conducive to quick bites. I then just keep checking the spots until i see signs of fish, or can see the visible baits have gone. For me its best to only use small quantities.

I caught a lot of fish on maple-8, it wasnt an assult on the senses like many early 2000s baits.

Test lines out for strength if they are acceptable then use them, braids last forever.if hooks swivels etc are rust free all will be fine.
