Just got back from a weekend fishing, during which one of my Delkim txi alarms started playing up.When I switch it on its basically goes into fast run mode I.E bleeeeep!
I google A.I it and it said try drying it and changing battery. I did both but still doing the same.Anyone experienced this before? I've had them about 10 years with no problems,so maybe they could do with a service anyway.Could anyone recommend who does service or repair maybe?TIA.Paul.

Delkim run their own UK repair service, but check the serial number first: they no longer support units over 10 years old. Out of warranty there's a minimum £7.50 assessment fee, and they quote £30–35 on average for a repair including shipping. Don't spray it with WD40, as that can get the repair refused. Others here may know an independent repairer for older units.

Either daletronics or Lloyd Reynolds will repair them if delkim won't

I once had a txi plus that used to do the same. It was always after using during heavy rain. I found that just leaving the alarm to dry out for a couple of days would not cure the problem. However, after a week or so the alarm would be ok again.
It was obviously moisture getting in somewhere it shouldn’t. I ended up just keeping that alarm as a spare.

I use the Txi plus ..
Had them since they first come out ..I've recently bought a 4th Txi plus, with the 433 code on the alarm head this ensures that it matches ,and parries with the correct reciever.
Some good advice given ,just remember you can't 'service ' a Delkim they either work ,have an issue or pack up . Then you have to repair it ..
My thinking is this. When one of my original Txi gets poorly, I can now send it off to either of the gentlemen mention for repair,I can still fish 3 x rods, now as I have spare, til it's stable mate comes home ,lol
So buy a spare ,make sure you have the correct mghz 😀
