Hi looking for some advice, the water I fish is absolutely dominated by baitboat users.. nothing against it if that’s what you wana do then fair play, but it’s not for me i wouldn’t feel as if iv actually achieved the capture. Anyway what can i do to stand out with the colder months coming? Small spread of bait put out with a stick? Thinking maybe solid bags any ideas be helpful thanks

My new water is exactly the same all the lads use boats. I've stuck to my guns and fished old school over a spread of boilies in open water. It took a while but I'm now catching as well as the lads on the boats. I've noticed they are all using gps boats and dropping to the exact same spots trip after trip under overhangs etc even when those spots start to dry up. I feel lots of lads have become lazy and are so set in their ways using the boat all the time that me being different is really starting to pay dividends.

Yeah that’s the same as what they are doing they definitely have all the kit tripods with iPads on etc, there’s 10 others on atm I think and I’m the only one casting (I’m out fishing now btw) there was 1 fish out last night and nothing else today from what iv seen, im back up here in a few weeks so going to give solid bags a go and see how I get on

Tripods and I pads 😂...not really in the spirit of angling is it ,you stick to your guns mate,fish properly, and every carp you catch has merit....unlike

These are some of the best types of lakes to fish. By all doing the same thing, the other anglers are making it easier for you.
Just keep doing something different and it’ll be successful. 😀👍
