Thanks for that. Had no idea. But it drives me MAAAAAAAAAAD every week when the continuity announcer starts talking over the specially chosen and often moving piece of music at the end

I don't do it myself (lazy and don't fish much) but I'm always surprised when someone criticises the act of hook sharpening in a podcast etc. The microscope "before and after" images seem very stark and the difference very obvious (if you know what you're doing). It's not as if no has time to do it.

So although I don't do it myself I don't think it's risky or a waste of time

Found an old post in another forum from a guy who used to be a club member (when the ticket gave you access to the lake and river). He gave up his ticket for a few years and when he went to re-join the club the lake and river tickets had been split and he couldn't get back on the lake........

Yes there was nothing revolutionary or secret in Vitalin but it was just handy to have it all ready mixed up for you

Pure curiosity but does anyone know the 'Harrow' lake that Kevin used to fish in 90s videos? Looks almost like a public park in places.

Is/was it a syndicate. Is it still around? Or is it hush hush?

Coarse angling no longer the working man's sport.

Lots of cheap angling if you don't just fish for big carp. Loads of rivers etc on cheap club tickets

From 2020:

"Peter Regan, 69, of Lowestoft, appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on November 20 charged with theft of fishing rights and a public order offence after he was found fishing on Horsey Mere without permission from the Horsey Estate.

He had initially pleaded not guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing, but admitted during the trial he used "foul and abusive language" towards the officers who stopped him. "

Doesn't sound like something he would do

He tried the Magna Carta/Tidal River defence but failed

Dacia Duster any good? (don't know about fuel economy)

Don't think an X Trail or Forrester will have decent MPG at all. They're old now but the Peugeot Partner Escapade was a great fishing wagon. Not AWD but a bit higher off the ground with a mud guard underneath etc. Massive boot. It was a bit basic/rough/bumpy though. Not a motorway cruiser but decent MPG considering it was a box on wheels!

I used to get 48 MPG (non motorway). Diesel

The new version is the Teepee but I don't like the design/look at all

I PX-ed mine to get a van (for work) and still miss it sometimes
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.

Yes, continue
