New series of Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing start this Sunday, 9pm BBC2, there will be a xmas special too.

Series 7 has been commissioned for 2024 expanded to 8 programmes.

All great news, really looking forward to it. Not going to add any links in case you're like me and don't want the surprise of the programme spoiling

Great news, it's a wonderful show. The fishing is incidental really.

Thanks for that. Had no idea. But it drives me MAAAAAAAAAAD every week when the continuity announcer starts talking over the specially chosen and often moving piece of music at the end

Watch on iPlayer. Often available in 4K on there too, rather than HD on terrestrial tv.

I read they did a interview on Friday on one of the terrestrial channels, contains spoilers though apparently.

Last of the series, bugger indeed, Xmas special to look forward to though
Looks like the reporting Bob being poorly earlier in the year was true, looked quite frail.

The way they were talking about the history of the programme, I thought they were calling it a day, so pleased they said it'll continue at the end.
