Rewriting history now Sir Blankalot.
Theresa May was PM and with a supply and demand agreement with the Brexit aligned DUP, had a majority.
It was the Tory MP's who caused the stalemate. The Conservative MP group ERG, Mogg, Barclay etc wouldn't vote for any deal, not the opposition. Direct your ire in their direction.

The point I was trying to make is we got a government with a big majority because the electorate got fed up

The answer is proportional representation!
If 38k votes returns a Tory seat, 51k votes returns a Labour seat, 336k returns a Lib Dem seat and 866k returns a Green seat, it's abundantly clear that it's easier for the Tories and Labour than it is for Lib Dems or Greens, to get MP's in the Commons. If we ditched FPTP and had a PR system then we would actually get what we vote for! Most likely a hung Parliament continually, but far better than a ludicrous majority for a very small majority of votes.

I'm not going to make the mistake of being personal.
This is an observation in general. Personally I don't feel anyone on here is claiming to be an expert. And having a different view to myself doesn't make me think they are trying to be.
In the same token, constantly cheerleading for this Govt doesn't make you a bad person. But you can't claim neutrality just because it's come.on top. If every post is pro Govt or 'just asking questions' . Fine. But it's pretty obvious.

Yes the food situation solvable and not so much of a problem if we eat bamboo shoots but I've still got my pointed teeth and like my steak.
As the population increases, more food is needed but the available farmed land is reduced by houses, roads, energy crops etc so it means we need to farm more intensively, which has an increased environmental and financial cost.
To sustain this intensive farming we will need more energy, transport, machinery, fertiliser production (currently heavily reliant on natural gas), wages etc so prices will rise.

I don't think there are any experts on here, plenty with superiority complexes though
As for PR be careful some of you for what you wish for, In 2015 UKIP came third in terms of votes with 12.6%, but won only one seat. Personally not being an expert and it being only my opinion, whether you like it or not with PR you have to accept votes for all types of parties whether you like them or not.

I remember being at school (which was a long time ago) being told that the ozone layer would be the death of us all, ok a slight exaggeration but the outlook was not good. Fortunately since then science has given us alternatives.
I also remember being told fossil fuels would be exhausted by about 2030, that doesn't seem to be the case and since my school days science has given us fracking should we choose to do it.
So I have a question.
Is there a relationship between left wingers saying no to fossil fuels and right wingers saying yes to them, or is there no relationship at all?
