The kind of pits I was fishing Andy, I would regularly leave the hook baits out for two days plus. I actually caught more fish from Roach Pit on hook baits that had been in the water for more than two days, than I did on new ones. On Burghfield I was getting all of my bites on the same thing instantly. On Theale Lagoon I was leaving the hook baits out for three days. I caught on first morning, and third morning hook baits. On the Thames I would change them far more regular. You can leave them out for many days, small fish dependent.
They are a two stage leak off. When you put the hook baits into the water, the liquid attractors will flood out from the food base. Rapidly so. That's why the hook baits change colour in the water, very quickly. This is a big initial signal that's shot out. But the cork itself is also impregnated with the very same attractors. This leaks out at a very much slower rate than from the food. The fish can still detect this many days later. Add on to that... It's all slowly fermenting food. That always remains attractive to a fish. Incredibly so.
They were never designed to be sold to you in the first place. They were designed to catch me far more fish than all of the other anglers around me. That they always did too. That's why they eventually became for sale. They do exactly the same thing, for our customers now.
Anyone trying to sell kit off of our backs... Be that catch photos from paid anglers or 'team' members.... Or the people who fished on the same lakes as me and saw exactly what the hook baits did with their own eyes... Ex friends, or even just the people/companies who now copy anything I say online regarding our curing process.... None of that, has any basis in any reality whatsoever. Anglers eventually find that all out for themselves.

Just been informed that all of the photos are not showing. They are showing for me as I'm not in the UK. After a bit of research, Imgur has removed service for the UK yesterday after being threatened with massive fines by the UK government about age checks. BBC link below. Hi Mark, good evening, hope all is well, been while since ive been on the forum. Had my first fish out of a new lake on a GPB2 at the weekend after scratching my head for a couple of sessions without a bite. Not the biggest fish , but its been tricky conditions.
Anyway my question for you is regarding the S2 cc (popups) would they stay hard enough to resist crayfish for 12hrs? Doesn't need to remain fully intact as no bait would (The GBP2 are ideal for instance)
If not, is it possible to make a pot of harder popups? Totally understand if not.

With reference to the IMGUR issue, I have done the first 3 pages of images so far (33 photos)
It's quite repetitive and time consuming (especially having to download all the images via VPN) so I will find a way to do it programmatically tomorrow night (if I am not fishing

Well that seems to have worked ok. Can someone just confirm for me that everyone else can see those images okay.
The S2 & GPB1 cc are tougher than the GPB2 mate. If you want to make them even tougher... Tip them out onto a plate and dry them right out. Unlike a dried freezer bait which will suck up water like a sponge, they will stay a lot tougher, for a lot longer. We get customers complaining if we make them to hard these days.
The fact that neither have any fishmeal in will help regarding the Cray too. Get some Korda wrap, the stuff with the holes in if you have Cray problems. The fish don't care mate.

Thankyou for the advice mate. Thats a good point as well regarding them being nut based which should also help again the crays 👍 will give them a try
