Yeah literally seconds, it's not really an issue.

I've just done some work on the code and have now implemented a way to block the ads, so I have blocked any Google Ads for my user.

No more horrible great screen covering ads where you have to click the close button.

Page loads a bit quicker and it renders better on mobile phones.

This feature/addition will be available as part of CarpForum 'premium'

For those having issues with ads on an iPhone, give Brave browser a try as an alternative to Safari. I have been using it after recommendations on here and the forum site has gone from unreadable with ads to zero.

I installed Duck Duck Go on my iPhone to combat the ads. Was unusable before that and I nearly rage quit the forum! I literally only use DDG for the forum, so as soon as I open it, I’m in the forum instantly.
For general web browsing I use Chome through Safari.

DDG for me too, been using it for years to reduce tracking.
