I like a drink or three. Cut down to Wednesdays, Friday and Saturday, not good for the health
My neighbour is brilliant, keeps a small hammer on top of his brown bin, smashes the bottles so he can get more in. Buys old Rosie by the case from Amazon, brilliant when they are filling the garage up, a sight too see lol. Also the Rose wine that his Mrs sups, probably a couple of bottles of wine a night and at least 6 or 7 ciders. I can hear him smashing the bottles into the bin and often sit there counting them, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, 9 regular
There is a difference though like you say, at the moment he is smashing them in at around 11am in the morning after they have fallen asleep in the garden the night before
I was in the garden the other morning, came out with a couple of bottles of old Rosie, do you want one pal, no, bit early for me John lol

I quit drinking 6 years ago, if the current situation doesn't tip me off the wagon nothing will, so far so good, thank God for alcohol free beers

It's been a vice of mine most of my life even in periods of extreme fitness i still drank a bit but predominately on a social scale when I was younger. Still like a drink but I have eased off massively, probably average a bottle of wine a week and say 4 bottles of decent ale on average, try to keep to the 14 units. I have been T total along the way for long periods and got down to a couple of bottles a week but hey, what the hell, you have to live. Must say I find having a beer very relaxing
Not good for the health though long term, higher volumes, aim for the 14 units is my advise, plus you need that gap between it, that's the key

Got to laugh, son in law is a trainee builder, they pack up early most afternoons and some of the lads go to the pub, bow time!
Talk about work hard play hard, put a shift in then pissed everyday lol, crackers

But, & here's the but, I had some Bailey's in since Christmas & that's been drunk.
I've now come across Aldi's finest rip off version of Bailey's at under £4 a bottle.
It's bloody lovley ,Simply Lovely .

Aspalls Imperial Vintage should be banned it's a creeper, I had about 6 or 7 at a BBQ a few years back completely lost my memory of the night it got very messy.
Herefordshires best Cider in my opinion Stowford Press and is just about my limits these days with the occasional Westons Vintage absolute nectar only drunk in moderation 2 bottles and then onto the weaker stuff, you can keep Old Rosie too much of that will turn you blind.

After reading on here about the 7.5% Guinness Export I just finished a 600ml bottle, not bad at all
Now back on the JD but instead of neat like last night with a drop of diet coke.
It's a shame some people have a problem with drink as I don't and it's got me through lockdown

Alcohol isn't the issue, it's the wife's "boredom baking" that is causing concerns. I've had more cake in units than beer! Apart from two Punk IPAs on VE day, I've not touched a drop. Trying to use the time wisely by decorating the living room, dining room, boys bedroom, renovate the garden and build a koi pond.

The experiment is still ongoing, 8 weeks on the 7.6% cider/tramp juice, can **** through a letterbox from at least 10 yards, not eating, lost two stone, everyone seems happy to social distance from me including the wife and kids.
Its a bit like vaping, next week i will be moving on to the 5.4% stuff if i can get to the farm without my license.

Got to laugh, just got changed and had a look out of the window, Neighbour asleep in garden. Wife is sat on a swing thing reading a book with a glass of wine. Two massive bottles of frosty jack, few scattered bottles including wine on the patio table, all empty, and what looks like a magnum of champagne

I am generally a connoisseur of alcoholic drinks, especially bourbon. Often in the evening I could afford to drink a few shots and it seemed to me that this was quite normal.
A year later I found myself in alcohol rehab london with a diagnosis of alcoholism and a period of long rehabilitation.
Now I rest and relax by resorting to slightly different methods, for example, over a cup of tea or playing golf.
