So what radio station do you guys listen to while fishing ? I've had radio 2 on. Some good music and talks on. And if long drive find good for traffic news. Sometimes have the 80s channel or kiss FM on depending on my mood

Smooth radio.

Xfm, Absolute, LBC, R5L and Talksport.
Also Gold on Medium Wave (AM) as I seem to be able to pick that up anywhere including France where some reason I can pick that up in the evenings. Something to do with a phenomenon called 'skip'

The pirate stations back in the day, Pete Tong Friday nights and football with Motty and 606 all day Saturdays. Blowers and the test match special team through the summer, those were the days.

Out of interest are these pod type cast things Gerry and are you paying for these, kindle jobby etc?

I find the radio on low just in the background really makes ones fishing stay that much more comforting.

Anyone else agree?.

I know a few anglers who leave there radio on all night .
Its well annoying .
They think it keeps the rats away 😂

I usually turn mine off around midnight.

Makes the stay that much better and yet when at home never ever have it on.

I know I can snore as I've woken myself up several times and the mrs recorded it too.

Was fishing when this lad next swim was really going it but the next morning he told me that i just can snore....

I snore badly. More so if I've had a beer. That's why my mates don't like fishing to close. And I've Woking myself up with my snoring

TALKRadio unless a sporting event is on that I want to listen to. If nothing on the radio, I will then then listen to a Podcast of some sort, be it a carp angling one or a cryptozoology/UFO based one. I cannot listen to music on the bank at all.

Ditto, it's been a breath of fresh air during the pandemic tests for sure

BBC radio Essex. It's like LBC, but old people ring in and moan, or go on a rant. It's the people that talk at check out staff and hold the queues up in shops. My favorite call ins so far were about farting, and people calling in to talk about hip surgery being delayed because of COVID.
Also play some decent music aswell

Fishermans Blues on Talksport 2, although I listen through Radio Cut app as I'm not often up for listening at 6am nor in one sitting.

Smooth radio can be very good. It's the one I listen to mostly.

GOLD is another good radio station.

If you listen on your phone the simple radio app is good,stations from around the world as well as most of the U.K. Stations ,if you like a bit of soul, jazz funk type music then stomp radio is good on there

I only ever listen to classical FM whatever I'm doing, anything else is just brain damage.

Nothing wrong with a bit of noise Mal, as long as it's a reasonable distance away of course.
My favourite swim is often not very productive until the bivvy pegs go in and the rattling starts from across the lake.

LBC.... but not the tory nut jobs. 5 live, Talksport, planetrock, jazzfm.

A few miles is a reasonable distance for me

I spend my days amongst the noise so all I really want to hear when I'm fishing is nature.
