The lack of approved fish health checkers is a major issue in many areas of the country.
This is a problem for many fishery owners, clubs and the fishery trade in general.
Its time for all concerned anglers to contact these people listed below and tell them how awkward it currently is to obtain a health check and comply with legislation.
Write one email and copy to all three.
Make the effort today, and maybe this will kick-start some progress 😎

There is a lack of approved fish health checkers in many areas of the country.
This is a problem for many fishery owners, clubs and the fishery trade in general.
Its becoming too awkward to obtain a health check and comply with legislation.
Everyone involved with fisheries on every level will do all they can to limit spread of paradites, disease and viruses but for many the process is further complicated by the lack of an approved contractor within a two hour drive.
The ones that presently serve these underrepresented areas are often swamped with little availability.
This is a situation that needs addressing or many will just fall victim to the many dodgy fish dealers who are happy to supply fish with bogus paperwork, or even no paperwork.
I would suggest the Fish Health Inspectorate, CEFAS and Envoiroment Agency discuss this most urgently and ensure that some attention is focused on the areas that need better service.

I’m sure I read somewhere that KHV is now a non notifiable disease ??
Country has gone to the dogs.
