Anyone use a fish meal right through the winter ? I normally switch over to Oxford carp baits mc nut for my winter fishing which has been great for me, but thinking of mixing it with dna s7 for this winter which I’ve had a great summer and autumn on. Anyone use a fish meal right the way through ?

They are all I have used for years straight through, if they are decent then you will have no problems. I prefer to use half baits to crumb unless they are 12mm.
Have used the S7 in winter, no problems.

Carry on, just be sensible and use less.
A lot of these nut based baits probably have more fat & oil content in them along with the soya flour/calf milk type binders then a proper decent summer fishmeal with 40-50% actual fishmeal in it - a rare thing nowadays as most commercial baits are designed for all year round use.

I've been using S7 since it came out and originally I ran it alongside Nutta S, the nut boilie DNA used to do.
The idea was, as the S7 dropped off as it got colder I'd switch to the nut (inspite of fat content). The problem was S7 never dropped off, it kept catching right through winter, and catching more than the Nutta S, which I stopped using.
I've since fished S7 right through, though I do use another nut boilie at the mo.
I've always been a believer in having 2 baits but I'm starting to think I might just go S7.....🤔
