Hi

Looking to use tapered mainline for the first time.

There is leader ban but no minimum breaking strain on mainline.

Korda Longchuck Tapered in either 10lb, 12lb or 15lb. Which should I go for?

Thanks

Longchuck breaks at its stated breaking strain approximately so it depends on your lake, i.e. weed, snags etc.. and also how far you need to cast?

If your a crap caster like me (and need all the help you can get) but the water is relatively snag free and you can play fish with care go for the 10lb . . .15lb always seemed a bit daft to me as you can level line cast with a 3.5oz lead at that dia and get a fair way with a decent rod

Or maybe the Gardner one would be a better option?
Are you sure?
