Ok…….
I’m looking for a new boat.
Narrowed it down to either the deeper quest with downscan or the toslon XR500.
Is their any 1 out there who has used both that can time me some pointers. Both good & bad.
Cheers
Josh

I have the Quest but do not have the downscan. Cant fault it.

The Quest is a great boat but if you're scanning in under 5 foot of water the downscan is useless. Deeper than 5 foot and apparently it's superb.

I would not get the XR500 it really isn't that great.
Toslon boats are much bigger but also bomb proof. Not used the Deeper boat but gets good reviews. If you were to use these on big lakes I would go toslon with xr310 and raymarine.
If you are under a budget or fishing smaller lakes UK only the deeper looks good value for money

Both completely different boats aimed at different sized waters.
Specifications below deeper first then Toslon
Length 55.3 cm 70 cm
Width 37.3 cm 44 cm
Height 23.7 cm 27 cm
Weight 4.8 kg 7.0 kg
Maximum bait capacity 2 kg 5 kg
Hopper arrangement 2 bait hoppers + rig hopper 2 independent hoppers
Bait volume 3 litres 5 litre
For most UK waters deeper is fine.

I have the deeper quest and it is absolutely stunning. I have used it on big waters with quite a chop on and it has handled it fine. I would say it is probably the best bait on the market for general all round baitboat work. Yes others are more geared towards massive waters but they are way too big for smaller ones.
