Hi all, I decided on a change of alarms this year, and moved away from delkims to the traditional roller type alarms. I got a set of Trakker DB7-R alarms which look pretty good. However I didn't realise my old SL2 bivvy light wouldn't pair with the new ones, and trakker dont do a bivvy light that pairs with them. Has anyone come up with anything that works with these to automate a bivvy light or any automated alternative solutions ??

Can't help but also don't understand. What do you mean pair the light with the alarms? Apart from week long sessions in France I never use a bivvy light but interested to understand what you mean by the feature

Can't answer you pairing question but surely in this day and age there's a camping light with voice activation?
If insistent on using yiur bivvy light maybe Dal @Daletronics could sort it for you.
Edit, there are, and pir activated, cheap too.

Hi, as im getting older and im not so good on my feet, slipping on my crocs at 2 am is no mean feat, my old sl2 light was activated by my bite alarms. You press a button on the light and sound each alarm its then paired to them. When the alarm goes off, the light comes on. I put it under my bedchair to light the floor area up, I can slip on my shoes and belt out of the door. The light has variable brightness and duration, my old one works flawlessly with my delkims, but the new alarms are a different frequency. Im off for 2 weeks to Croatia next week so going to try a motion sensor nightlight and see how it works out

Clipped to the bivvy by the side of the door aimed at your boots/crocs, just wave your hand in front of it.
With the lights that were paired with the alarms, did the bivvy light up every time you got a bleep, as that would drive me nuts if so?

I use cheap cupboard LED lights from Amazon with rechargeable batteries and motion sensors. Works a treat and you get them in different sizes, you can adjust the light etc.
I just put them under the bedchair close to my shoes and as soon as you take your feet out of the bag they light up the bivvy.
Really cheap too and the light up when you move and not everytime there is a false indication on the indicator as with bivvy lights.

I bought a clip on outdoor solar light off eBay (do a search using this). It was only £7.50 and it clips onto the front of my bivvy. It has various different settings - full on all the time, half on all the time and motion sensor. I use it on the motion sensor option so when I have a run at night and exit the bivvy it comes on and lights up my swim - brilliant. And it doesn't need charging as it charges via solar power throughout the day ready for night.
