I've just come across the website goldmedalfishingtools.com LINKY POO™ https://www.goldmedalfishingtools.com/. Prices look too good to be true. There no 'about us' etc either. Has anyone used them?

That's a scam site.
I only looked at the mainline activator. Didn't realise the prices were that ridiculous 😅
Definitely a scam, report sites like this to report@phishing.gov.uk
These are scam sites from China offering too good to be true items at really low prices.
What happens is they take your cash, you receive a receipt email, regular updates of postage etc even Returns information, all very slick.
Then your item arrives and it is something like a very cheap pair of sunglasses of a knockoff Rayban type. If you contact the company they just say there's a genuine mix up and point to their returns policy. This will state a very unrealistic return postage price, often much dearer than the item bought. After this any other correspondence will end. So basically you are fooked, unless you fancy going to China and knocking on their door.
Ways to spot these scams:
A) Just too good to be true.
B) Selling items that are no longer made - new Aqua Union Jack bivvies for example.
C) varied pictures of items from various sources. Some will be sharp professional type lifted from official sites, others will be quite amateur, lifted from Facebook, selling sites etc, even places like this Forum. I saw one with a "garden shot" ( remember the old tarty tackle thread) of a reel with the rod edited out but the grass lawn still as a background
D) Although the sites may have .com or even .co.uk they link to hidden sites.
E) They will show prices in GBP but may briefly flash up oriental script as payment goes through this is too late unless you cancel via bank or credit card company.

There must be a few at it and they must be making money because my 1 search for mainline activator produced 3 or 4 different questionable sites. Trustpilot is always something I check when I see a website like this, but these aren't even on trustpilot. They must be on and off the web like a yoyo, changing their names each time. Must be exhausting being a scammer 😂
And then there's the 'legitimate' scammers like temu. Must stop buying from them. They make leaving a bad review a right PITA. Gotta be willing to forfeit a refund to leave 1 and even then it probably won't even be seen.
