Looking for a pure braid hooklink that is fish friendly but not too soft if that makes sense. If anyone can recommend one so I don't have the hassle of buying loads and finding out for my self.

Used both, can recommend.
Naturally they have some softness, but fish friendly and sink.
Or you could get something like TA Duo-Fleck (great stuff I use it for combi links) which is much stiffer , more bouyant, thinner, hence more mouth damage.

You could just strip back some coated braid and give that a try?

Some of the Katran braided hook links are semi stiff, I like Tuareg which is flexible but not soft.
