Good day all, I am sure this has probably been asked many times, so I apologise for that, but I am after suggestions for 13ft distance carp rods.
Currently have 12ft avid amplify's and they would be ideal if they were still made as they are very good rods.
I am very picky with rods though, they have just got to look right, and one thing that I really dislike is thick chunky eyes.. this unfortunately rules out the likes of most the shimano range. It has to be those nice slim, lightweight eyes.
Price range up to approx £150 a rod.

Kaizen green

As mentioned the Daiwa Longbow and Infinity's have the slim guides.
Also Fox do one.
Apart from those and the two you mentioned, don't think there any? others.

I picked up a 3lb tc Longbow once and it felt much softer than stated TC in my opinion.
Also recall D Peck say somehting along that line.

The longbow is acknowledged as a softer action rod than the infinity. However that is different to the test curve. The test curve can be the same, whereas the action could feel different. Darrell peck said that for some purposes the longbow was actually the best rod.

Look no further than this. These are mega distance rods for the money.
Only better thing would be some second hand 13ft fox xt if you can find them.

Tx2 over the Daiwas all day. Longbows have a better playing action but certainly not a casting rod. Tx2 are a close compromise. Can cast well but not broom handles.
Tx7s I have now are way stiffer and cast miles but have lost the playing action compared to the tx2s
The longbows will get you a long way but it's far harder work than a stiffer blank to achieve the same distance
