I need four rods with, maximum casting length 100 yards rest i do with a the boat.
I currently have two Free Spirit ES abbreviated rods, but I can't find two more like them, except with cork.
Now I have the opportunity to buy a set of four Harrison Torrix Stalker 10ft 2.75lb cork rods for €600 (£517.59) all four are in very good condition.
I once held the Torrix 12ft 3.00lb in a shop and wasn't a fan, it felt much too stiff for me i like rods that bend well from the middle.
Are there any of you who have experience with both rods and would like to share your thoughts? I have to drive 2 hours and 30 minutes to get the Torrix rods, which I am willing to do, but I would like to have a better understanding of the comparison between the two rods.
They should definitely not be heavier than the ES softer is oke but of the four spots i fish is one spot with a lot of vegetation, where I deliberately cast the rig over the vegetation. With the ES and 0.35 touchdown line it is no problem to drill a carp through the vegetation, so the next rods should also be able to do this.

Hi, I am from Germany and have one 12ft ES abbreviated I would sell but that wont help you much.
Tacklebox and Johnsonross both are shipping to Europe. Its very fast and straightforward and reliable yet expensive of course due to tax and custom fees.
I think you would do well with the Torrix Stalker 10ft 2.75lbs.
As you seem to prefer softer rods for playing fish nicely these will be harder than the ES of course.
Yet not too hard.
I have the Free Spirit S-Lite 10ft 2.75lbs which were on sale start of the year at Johnsonross for a great price.
They are nice and light and not too stiff but lock up above the handle.
Very nice for the kind of work you intend to use these rods.
Free Spirit Seeker are also available in some places in Europe in 10ft 2.5 and 2.75lbs. Might be worth considering as well.
Also the new FS E-Class blanks or American Atrex in 10ft 2.75lbs. You could have them built up to your specs. Probably easier than ordering from the UK.
A friend of mine is selling 2 super nice, built up 10ft 3lbs E-Class abbreviated with ALPS reel seats. He could do 2 more :-). These are really similar to the ES reg. stiffness. You might like these in 3lbs.

Also you can have a look at Johnsonross. They have a 30% discount on the S-Range rods. Not sure how many are left but there are 3 of the 10ft 3lbs available still it seems e.g.

1 extra ES would be great then i can fish with 3 x the same ES and buy 1 extra 10ft for the spo t with low hanging trees

How do poeple rate the Balista 12ft 2.75 vs the Free spirit ES?
Fish playing and control is the most important and also strong enough to pull through heavy vegetation, with the ES I have no problem with that

Start looking for Balista blanks then with 1k weave pattern in the Eu

1K vs 3K weave has been mentioned a few times on here recently as the indication of quality of blank. That is not really the case. The resin used and quality of carbon is important.

Ballista does not have a weave - its come in spiral or ground finish.
I am building a set for customer as we speak - 11ft 3lb - superb blanks.
EDIT - I have never held a FS ES 12' 2.75lb - but reading the blurb from FS - The action on a 12' 2.75lb Ballista starts much lower down in the butt section. You will instantly notice the difference.
Ballista does not have a weave - its come in spiral or ground finish.
