New to the big carp game. I've had plenty up to 10lb on a method feeder but have now started to target bigger fish. I'm looking for some 10ft rods that are nice playing action and can handle PVA bags. Casting distance isn't an issue as the water I'm fishing isn't big so at most 40/50 yards. Fish go up to 30lb there. Will need a bit of backbone at times to avoid snags etc. is there anything suitable that meets this criteria at around the £150 mark or am I expecting too much?
I've had a look through the threads and seen a few potential options but would like some further advice/guidance from those more experienced. I would rather fork out on something that would last a few years before I fish bigger waters.

Have a look at the Soniks xtractors bud, great value for money and I've had fish to 36lb at about 50 yards on them. I use the 3.25's but only golf ball sized PVA bags when I use them.
Check and make sure your reel and line are good enough for coping with bigger fish - as important as the rod imo 👍

Appreciate the reply! I've had a bargain on a used set up which came with 3 x ultegra xtd 14000 and the spod reel. A bit heavy for what I need so will keep an eye out for something like the xtd 5500 to pair with the 10ft rods eventually. The set up came with 12ft sonik vaders which I don't get along with.
I'll have a look and see if any local shops stock them to see how they feel.

I have a set of shimano tx2s and tbh I can't really fault them. Think you can pick 3 up for roughly £150
I have them paired with daiwa emcast 25a and again, can't fault those either
