Has anyone splashed out on the Chirp 3? I see this now brings 3D mapping.
I have the Chirp 2 and I'm just wondering whether this needs to go on this years Christmas list for santa

My mate has the deeper quest and it he has just had an update for that which now includes the 3d mapping the same as the chirp 3 and he said its superb. I will be getting one for my vulcan boat.

I think I'm going to have to do the same for my SB3. I'm assuming that there's no software update for the chirp 2? I see there still selling for over 200 notes but the 3 model is getting on for 350. I might wait a bit and see if it comes down nearer the end of the year.

Bought one back in April to replace my very old Deeper Pro+
I believe better battery life was one advantage it had over it's predecessors.
Had some issues with it to start with and had to factory reset my range extender to get it working with the Chirp 3 rather than my older Pro+. Once I had done that though, all good

I had the original chirp+ (before the chirp2) and won a chirp 3 , apart from the 3d mapping I honestly don't notice any difference between them.
