Any user reviews of these, bit out my price range but will stretch to it if they are decent. I will primarily use it for searching and baiting spots, maybe lowering in rigs, there is no plans to use my boat as a gear transport. I might occasionally want to get a second adult in it for a look about but not very often. The other 1.80 metre dignhies are not as long as this nor as wide.. anyone know about PVC and puncture resistance

They are ok.
Max transportation weight is 200kg and PVC has a thickness of 0.7mm.
I would say the PVC is not the thickest quality what makes it more sensitive to punctures...

Is it not stamped on the pvc? If not try contacting them (if you haven't already)

I will have a look, first impressions are , it's bigger and much more substantial than what I expected, definitely will do the trick. I'm storing it 3/4 inflated as recommended. But can easily deflate and get it on canal. Easy to carry etc..

Been out in it today, this gnarly local lake with weed and sub surface snags, I was a bit on edge as you get a totally different perspective from a boat. Scared crap out myself when out of the Polaroids a massive submerged tree appeared couldn't have been more than 6" from surface, obviously had life jacket.

Just take it easy in the boat speed wise until you know what's in your way under the water. The dangerous snags are the ones that get under the deck and/or hooks dangling from snags over the water. If your boat has safety chambers, as most do, even if you get a puncture you'll be o.k as long as you don't panick.
I'd thoroughly recommend taking your hookbaits out in something like a bucket and make sure the rig can't escape it. It's all to easy for the line to some way get stuck and for it to pull the lot along the boat, and if the hook takes hold...might even be better putting a hook protector on the hook tbh, I'm sure other experienced boat users will have other ideas.
We use a Sevylor Fishunter for about 10 years in the 90's, just for putting bait out, sometimes even just dropping anchor and having a beer with the Mrs, as you say totally different perspective. I got raosted on here saying I used that boat..then a year or so later Terry Hearns using one in his vid...posted that up...guess what, he copped no flack, obv being a fishing god he'd just walk on the water if it went down

Is it a self inflating one ?
Make sure you get it serviced or get a replacement spares pack and do it when it needs doing.
We tested a few of my father in laws old ones and some of them didnt inflate.
*Mine are due this year*.

No I deliberately went old school on this , its technically a buoyancy aid , foam infil one, I need to know its gonna work. If that makes sense

Mines primarily for making spots or finding existing spots near snags, so I need to be able to get near them with a bare lead on a rod, then anchor up and have a few test prods about and see A what's down there, and B if the snags actually stopped weed from enveloping it which is what I'm hoping.. I've never seen lake this weedy
