Just read Fishing Republic in Crewe/Lakemore is closing later this year. I don't use the shop that often myself but I'm sure a lot of you older Cheshire anglers will remember Nick from Stapely Angling who works there. Hoping the guys there find something else quick, lot of knowledge between them.

Was in the shop on llyn y gors last week and they are in the middle of down sizing shelves bare talking to them they said internet sales are killing them and they are just carrying dead money

Nick and Hooky are both really nice guys,I don't really know the others as have not been in there for years.Im sure they will all be fine as will be well connected in the angling industry 👍

Angling Direct are opening a store in chester, round the corner from an established decent tackle shop - The tackle.store. I hope everyone of chester and the surrounding areas don't put a foot in angling direct and the tackle store goes.from strength to strength.

Visited The Tackle Store af few times last year, they were expanding into a bigger unit, not surprised AD have noticed.

Where is the Angling Direct store going to be? Same industrial estate? That will be a free for all for shop lifting I'd be surprised if they manage to sell anything at all.

Bloody hell, yeah more or less on top of each other. Shame these big firms have to muscle in on smaller businesses but I'm sure the majority of people will still shop at Andys

historically AD on their opening day put a van outside the local tackle shop advertising the location of the new AD, I'm telling you now,if they do that outside the tackle store it won't end up well!!!!!!!
