Does anyone have any comments on splicing needles? I'm currently using a Nash one but I'm not overly keen on it; although it could be me, I'm having trouble with the needle pushing kind of straight through the sidewall of the lead free leader. I am currently using a mix of Trakker 65lb/Bank Tackle 45lb material.

Had a few different ones. But, I've finally settled on the 3 in a pack ESP ones.

I use a fly tying bobbin threader, I find it easier than a needle.
Fox easy splice looks like it works the same way.

As has already been recommended - If you're having trouble with the needle going through the side then the Fox Easy Splice is the one to get.

It's a different design to the traditional gated needles.
