My scopes are looking a bit battered now and was thinking about replacing them as a couple of rings need changing, minima tip rings and braid don't go. Really like the look of the ultimate bionic (apart from the big logos that i'd scrape off) and can get 3 of them delivered for less than 1 scope. Anyone use them? Seen people say these are what the cotswold extendables are. As did look at those but after my last experience with cotswold rods will never give them another penny.

Yes, I recently purchased 3 of them at £48 each in the Fishdeal sale for boat work and dodgy areas of Canals in France.

I bought the 10ft 3.5tc and decided to try them out on a club water this past week and had 8 Carp to 27lb on them, they were fine and will cope with a lot of stick from bigger fish I have no doubt.

I have the Cotswold pace compacts, and I'm 99% sure they are exactly the same just with different logos. The carbon, fittings and handles are identical.

I've used my compacts for several years and found them well up to the task, having had fish over 60lb on them and fishing snaggy waters with no issues. They're much more manageable from a boat also

Thanks chaps they sound spot on. Just need to work out whether i want the 2.75, or 3lb tc now while they're still cheap today.

I've got some in 3.25lb and find they're more than up to the job I want them for, for the price you really can't go wrong.
