Right, I'm about to open the proverbial can of worms here—I'm sure there'll be a whole range of opinions, much like the old "who makes the best bite alarms" debate (Delkim man here!).

What are everyone's thoughts on the best overall value for bait boats? I've been looking into it and reading up, but there's so much info out there it's doing my head in.

I'm after something reliable, good to at least 150m, with GPS, autopilot, and echo sounder, and without any issues with losing WiFi signal. So, what should I be looking for?

I researched this quite a lot last year as was looking to buy my 1st bait boat and didn't want to spend a fortune and settled on the Actor Plus from Boatman. So far been very good but only used a few times and the furthest I used it was 132 yards amd it worked fine (I didn't go for GPS but echo was working fine at that distance)

2nd hand ND2 . . . probably

My pick would be a boatman vulcan. Actor plus good boat but hate the handle on it and probe to water ingress. Nd2 good boat but crap customer service. Vulcan i think is better made and a better boat than the nd2 and boatmans customer service is superb. The vulcan from what i have seen is totally waterproof and can be fully submerged under water as can the remote. Its cheap as chips for £375 as well. Ive never used boatmans sonar mind as always bought a deeper but dont even use that.
