I have just seen that Trakker have brought out a " new " 100 and 150 Tempest at sub £500 prices.
Makes me wonder why I was stupid enough to shell out on the RS 150 last year !

The new one is made from polyester I think. The one you bought will have been made from a better material.

yep, original was Aquatexx, new one is Nylon.

I have the old ones in nylon. Many prefer it as its lighter and dries quicker.

I have an original armo which is nylon, doesn't get used often but has never leaked, I also have a trakker 150 in aquatexx , it hasn't leaked either. Both have their uses, an overnighter in a tight swim, or 2 weeks holiday fishing. Horses for courses. Applies to rods too.
